Discover the colourful and creative art of punch needle!

In this fun, hands on workshop, you will learn the basics of punch needle embroidery and create 2 of your very own colourful coasters, which can also be used as a decorative backpack charms.

Using a special punch needle tool and colourful yarn, you will learn how to create textured designs by working loops of yarn through fabric.

You will be guided through the process of creating your own design, learning the punch needle technique and finishing your pieces to take home.

Whether you're a complete beginner or simply looking to try something new, this workshop is a great opportunity to get creative, experiment with colour and texture and make something uniquely yours!

All materials will be supplied - just bring your creativity and imagination!

About the Artist

The workshop is run by established mixed media Artist Natasha Hawkins, who is based in Diamond Harbour.

Natasha works across a variety of mediums, including painting, textiles, tufting and digital art. Her creative practice explores colour, texture and the natural environment, often drawing inspiration from the beautiful surroundings of Banks Peninsula.

Natasha enjoys experimenting with different materials and creative techniques and is passionate about sharing her love of art with others.

Though this workshop, she hopes to inspire participants to explore their creativity, learn a new skill and enjoy the process of making something by hand.
