Come and connect to inspire, be inspired and collaborate.
Wednesday 15th September is a day for purpose led and purpose curious people to connect.
Wherever you are in the world, wherever you are on your journey, you’re warmly welcome to join in and talk about what really matters.
It is proudly brought to you by the Good Business Community that is GoodNorth. Our purpose is to help create profound connections and to foster real collaboration where it matters most.
The world needs more good people collaborating to create a bigger impact.
What the heck is a Purpose Connectathon?
It's 3 x 1hr Speed Networking Sessions spread across the day:
10am, 1pm and 6pm (AEST).
They are totally FREE! You’re welcome to join us for one, two, or all sessions! You will make 5 purposeful connections at each session.
If you haven't been to one of these before, have no fear, you are in safe hands. These will be our 19th, 20th and 21st online speed networking events!
While the name suggests Networking, there is a twist: We pose a different question. Not “What do you do?” rather “What are you passionate about changing in the world?”, or “What cause lights you up?” or if you are clear on your purpose "What is your purpose?"
Taking that a little further for this day, we want to pose these questions:
- What can I learn from you and your journey?
- How can I help you further your purpose?
- What opportunities are there to collaborate?
This is how it will go:
We envision the virtual room filled with 100 awesome humans from all different walks of life, with one commonality - you care about the world and the people in it. In other words, purpose led, or purpose curious (you don't need to have it all worked out!).
The Agenda
There will be a very brief warm welcome by your host with some basic rules and instructions.
The speed networking will commence using breakout rooms. It is 10 mins per pair, with equal focus intended for each person, then automatic change over. Follow the instructions and you'll be fine.
We will provide some opening questions in the welcome to promote profound connections, so you won't be stuck for words. In fact, it’s better if you don’t come with prepared conversations, rather be yourself!

What to wear
You are not expected to dress up. We are all working from home, so feel free to be your good self. But please do wear something!
Make sure you bring your awesome smiling self and a great attitude.
Who we are
GoodNorth are a community of businesses in the region broadly spanning the Northern Rivers through Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Beyond, who believe that business can be a force for good. Many of us are B Corps or on the journey to becoming one, and we are welcoming to all who share this belief.
