Join The Australian Centre for Social Innovation (TACSI) to learn practical principles and strategies for putting co-design and co-production into practice in your programs and organisation.

Drawing on their vast experience working with not-for-profit organisations, the team at TACSI will show you how to put people at the heart of planning, design, delivery and accountability. 

Using real examples, they’ll explain how they designed lived-experience-led residential services, shaped service policy with people living with disability, and worked with children and families to design, deliver and scale Family by Family, and other peer-powered initiatives in Australia and the UK.

Meet your presenters:

Chris Vanstone, chief innovation officer

Chris has spent 20 years working in communities in the UK and Australia designing co-produced services, including Family by Family. He’s determined to make innovation accessible, and supports organisations to build the capabilities for "co" and social research and development.

Carla Clarence, mental health lead
Carla is a practitioner that lives "co" – putting decision-making power in the hands of people with lived-experience in everything she does; in strategy, in design and in the boardroom. Carla focuses her work on mental health and is experienced in leading co-design processes that break down the entrenched power dynamics between community members and professionals. 

Melanie Rayment, director of social innovation consulting
Melanie is passionate about creating the conditions for not-for-profit organisations to innovate. She recently led TACSI’s social innovation learning network which uncovered many of the challenges, and perhaps some of the solutions, to making co-production business as usual in the social sector.
