Event description

Get ready for the ultimate Pyjama Party at Carclew! Enjoy the beats from our PJ DJ Ruby Chew while you dance the day away, participate in exciting art workshops, and wrap up the fun with storytelling by Helen Lawry.

We're teaming up with The Pyjama Foundation for National Pyjama Day. All proceeds will go towards providing learning skills to children in out-of-home care.

Artist Bio: 

Ruby Chew began her DJ career at one of Adelaide’s most infamous dive bars, Supermild, and has been spinnin’ for over 15 years. An award-winning Visual Artist to boot, Ruby brings her love of colour and theatricality into her sets. From funk, soul, rock ‘n roll, blues, disco, boom bap, to house, new wave, pop, 90’s and naughties, she’s got it and she ain’t afraid to use it!

Helen Lawry is a storyteller, writer and teacher having  studied creative writing at Flinders University and Manchester Metropolitan University as well as storytelling at the International School of Storytelling in the UK, and teaching at Melbourne University. Helen provides interactive storytelling performances of traditional stories from many cultures suitable for preschool and primary school aged children. 

Suitable for ages: 5-12

Accessibility information 
All children must be signed in by a parent or guardian. Children aged 10 or under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

This event will occur within Carclew's Ballroom on the ground floor, ramp entrance available at rear of building.
