Writing for love or writing for money.

Explore the divide between writing for personal fulfillment and turning words into a career. Panelists discuss the realities of professional writing, the pressures of monetisation, and when to keep writing as a passion rather than a profession.

Hosted by Mama Alto, with Alison Evans and Chenai Mupotsa-Russell.

Doors and bar opens at 6pm, purchases at the bar will assist in reducing the venue hire cost for Q-Lit.

Panel begins at 6:30pm and ends at 7:30pm, there will be a 30min break followed by the storytellers showcase, Sharing Our Stories, at 8pm - Book your space for this event here.

  • Free and paid tickets are equal
  • Free tickets allow anyone from the community to attend
  • $15 & $30 tickets are for those financially able to support Q-Lit's operations and future events
  • Auslan tickets are for those who require an Auslan interpreter for the event

  • There is a quiet space available throughout the event
  • Gender neutral bathrooms available
