Invitation: Multicultural Mental Health Workforce Group Discussions
We invite Queenslanders from multicultural backgrounds working in community mental health and wellbeing to join our upcoming discussions. This includes multicultural mental health workers, community leaders, community members, carers, and lived experience workers. Your insights will help shape strategies to build a culturally responsive workforce that supports the mental health and wellbeing needs of multicultural communities.
Along with group discussions, one-on-one interviews are also available for participants who prefer a more in-depth, individual conversation.

Cultural Responsiveness – Addressing the unique needs of the multicultural workforce and communities.
Challenges and Opportunities – Exploring better support for the multicultural community mental health workforce.
Essential Skills – Defining core capabilities for supporting multicultural communities.
Who Should Attend
Team leaders and frontline workers, including peer workers, from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds or those supporting CALD communities’ mental health and wellbeing.
Service Managers in community mental health organisations serving multicultural communities.
HR, People & Culture Managers and Officers supporting diverse workforces.
Multicultural community leaders and members passionate about mental health and wellbeing.
Carers and individuals with lived experience of accessing mental health services in multicultural contexts.
Stakeholders committed to building a culturally responsive mental health workforce.
