QAMH Workforce Series: Lived/Living Experience Workforce
QAMH is committed to strengthening and supporting Queensland's Lived/Living Experience workforce, and two current projects reflect this.
The Peer Work Placement Project focuses on building a clearer, better-supported pathway into peer work, helping people access the practical placement experience needed to start their careers.
The Lived/Living Experience Supervision Project is developing a supervision framework and training package, addressing the support structures peer workers need once they're in role.
Together, the two projects speak to a broader challenge in the sector: supporting peer workers not just into roles, but to stay and grow within them. This is an opportunity to deep dive into the nuanced areas of CMHS LLE workforce, listen, learn and share on the critical factors to ensuring our workforce is supported, nurtured and provided opportunities to grow.
