QAMH Workforce Strategy Consultation Sessions
Event description
How do we attract enough workers to support the ever-growing number of people with mental health challenges in Queensland?
How do we redesign training pathways so we have workers with the right mix of knowledge and skills?
How do we better support the lived experience workforce?
How do we support the safety and wellbeing of workers and reduce stigma and discrimination?
These are just some of the questions we will be exploring at our series of consultations across Queensland.
The Queensland Alliance for Mental Health (QAMH) has partnered with Queensland Health to develop a Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Workforce Strategy - and we need your input!
The QAMH team will be visiting Townsville, Bundaberg, Ipswich, Brisbane, Cairns and Mount Isa to hear your thoughts on how to address the unique concerns this sector continues to face.
These consultation sessions will inform the Workforce Strategy, which will be developed over the course of 2023, and we invite all organisations within the Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Sector to attend. People with lived experience of accessing services and other key stakeholders who would like to contribute to this important conversation are also welcome. Diverse perspectives, experience and knowledge are highly valued and will underpin the final Strategy.
