QDMTF - Recovery Module 1 and 2
Event description
Background
Recovery is a crucial phase in disaster management, focusing on restoring, rebuilding, and improving the affected community after a disaster. Unlike the immediate response phase, which prioritises saving lives and providing emergency relief, recovery is a more prolonged effort that can last from several months to years, depending on the severity of the disaster and available resources.
The ultimate goal of recovery is to bring the community back to a state of normalcy or even better than before. This involves not just rebuilding physical infrastructure but also revitalising the community's spirit and ensuring that the population can return to their daily lives with minimal disruption.
