QECSN Network Meeting- Sustainable Arts Practice
Event description
Sustainable practices reduce waste and pollution, promoting a healthier environment for future generations.
The arts are a great place to think about sustainability in early childhood education. When we think of arts practices in centres, we might visualise children painting at easels or making collage at tables, and these are both examples of high-quality arts education.
In this presentation, Dr Lyndal O’Gorman is going to challenge us to go more deeply in terms of sustainable arts practices. You might begin to question some of the traditional arts materials that you are using in your centre, and hopefully you’ll be excited to try some new, more sustainable approaches.
This will be a session for sharing ideas about how we can move towards more sustainable arts practices in early childhood education.
