QLab for Theatre Makers (Online)
Event description
QLab has largely become the industry standard for audio and video cueing in theatre. It is a program that takes only a short time to start using and a long time to master. This also makes it very accessible for theatre makers to learn so you can work with sound in rehearsal when your sound designer is away or maybe even on projects where you can’t afford a sound designer and want to put a few tracks together in a good playback format.
This workshop will focus on introducing you to the QLab workspace and getting your head around its basic features - starting a new show file, adding cues, loading files and basic playback functions.
The session will focus on the functions required by theatre makers to prepare a basic QLab file that can be used in a festival room context.
