QLD AI Hub Brisbane - AI Legal Adoption
Event description
Fast vs Slow - Legal Insights & Live Build
Join us for an engaging and thought-provoking evening exploring the legal realities of AI adoption in Australia. This special QLD AI Hub Brisbane Chapter event brings together two perspectives in a live debate, practical demonstration, and legal deep-dive.
Debate:
Fast vs Slow – Should AI adoption be rapid and agile, or measured and risk-aware?
Alexander Cohen, Founder of Scope & Go and Brisbane Chapter Director, will champion the case for rapid AI deployment. Opposing him is Rhys Williamson, Partner at Mahoneys, who will argue for a more considered approach, grounded in legal rigour and compliance.
Legal Spotlight:
Rhys will share practical legal insights on how to navigate the evolving regulatory landscape – covering privacy, confidentiality, intellectual property, and compliance checkpoints essential to responsible AI projects.
Live Build:
Watch a working AI solution come to life in real-time. Alexander will build and deploy an AI tool live on stage, demonstrating the speed and accessibility of AI for delivering real-world value.
Q&A + Networking:
Wrap up with an interactive Q&A session, followed by informal networking with fellow innovators, legal experts and tech leaders.
