Description

AI reflections and predictions over dinner with CSIRO’s Dr Stefan Hajkowicz

Before the year turns, join the Queensland AI Hub’s Sunshine Coast chapter for an evening of good food, conversation and a look at what comes next.

We’re gathering for a sit-down dinner at The Wharf Events in Mooloolaba, hosted by chapter Co-Directors Dr Karen Sutherland and Craig Josic. It’s a chance to reconnect, meet new people and celebrate the end of the year with the Sunshine Coast AI community.

At the centre of the evening is a fireside chat with Dr Stefan Hajkowicz, Chief Research Consultant at CSIRO.

Karen will interview Stefan about the developments that shaped AI in 2026 and ask him to make some predictions for 2027.

Early bird tickets: $47.50 until 11th November.
Full-price tickets: $95

What’s on the table?

There’s been plenty of talk about what AI could do.

We’ll take a closer look at what happened this year and where things might head next.

  • Which developments in 2026 mattered most, and why?

  • What lived up to expectations, and what fell short?

  • How might AI change our businesses, workplaces and everyday lives in 2027?

  • What should we start preparing for now?

Bring your curiosity and your own predictions. There’ll be plenty to discuss over dinner.
