QLD Neurology Annual Scientific Meeting

Join us for this year’s Annual Scientific Meeting—an exciting program of expert insights, engaging discussions and valuable opportunities to reconnect with colleagues.

The meeting begins on Friday evening in the Emporium Piano Bar, where guests can enjoy clinical updates and informative presentations alongside canapés and drinks in a relaxed and welcoming setting. It is the perfect opportunity to exchange ideas, catch up with colleagues and set the scene for the weekend ahead.

On Saturday, the formal scientific program will take place on Level 1, featuring a diverse range of workshops, presentations and topics of interest from across the field of neurology.

We are delighted to welcome special guest speaker Professor Kevin O’Connor, a true trailblazer and Australia’s first dual-qualified consultant neuroimmunologist. Professor O’Connor is Head of the Department of Neurology and Stroke and Director of Physician Education at Joondalup Health Campus. He also practises as a Clinical Immunologist and Neuroimmunologist at Royal Perth Hospital and is an Adjunct Professor at Curtin University Medical School.

The conference will conclude at 5.00pm on Saturday, followed by a final drink and the chance to continue the conversation with colleagues.

Hotel Directions

Emporium Hotel South Bank is located within the Southpoint precinct, on the corner of Grey and Tribune Street in South Brisbane. The hotel is 14 kilometres from Brisbane Airport and only 1 kilometre from the Brisbane CBD.

From Brisbane CBD
Take Victoria Bridge from Brisbane City to the South Bank area. Turn left on to Grey Street, and follow this until Tribune Street is on your right. Turn right on to Tribune Street and the hotel driveway will be on the left before the overpass.

Public Transport
South Bank Train Station and South Bank Bus Station are directly next to Emporium Hotel South Bank.

There is street parking available on a lot of the streets surrounding the Emporium Hotel South Bank. Please ensure to read the meter signs and note conditions of parking.  

Secure Car Parking
We are located within close proximity to a few secure car parking options. Please follow the links below for details on these options: 

South Bank Parklands Parking - Open from 5:00am – 1:00am, with online bookings required.
Southpoint Car Parking - Access via hotel driveway, parking is limited. Please note that a lock out fee of $125.00 will apply if you exit after 9:00pm on weekdays, and 8:00pm on weekends.
Vulture Street Car Parking - Open from 5:30pm – 6:00am, with online bookings required.
