QTPOC LOCKDOWN WELLBEING CIRCLE

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Connectedness is the foundation of psychological resilience, but there are very few opportunities to stay connected to community while in lockdown.

In this informal evening supported with funding from the LGBTIQ+ Domestic and Family Violence Interagency, a space for Queer, Trans* and Intersex People of Colour will be opened for the purpose of maintaining connectedness, increasing knowledge of local services, raising awareness around safety, and hearing stories from one another.

Any people who identify as Queer, Trans* or Intersex, Black, Indigenous or People of Colour are welcome to attend. You do not need to know the facilitators or have attended a previous event with us, you will be warmly welcomed and have opportunities to meet new people.

The event is free of charge - registration is only required to send you the Zoom link. Your contact details will not be shared. You are welcome to use any name you like for registration.

All wellness activities/sessions are completely optional, and participants are welcome to choose not to participate in any activities or exercises they do not wish to participate in for any reason.

Anyone from the community is invited to express interest in sharing a wellness activity that can make others feel a little better during this difficult time, and all facilitators / presenters will be paid.

Facilitators are trained in counselling, group therapy and trauma informed facilitation.

To express interest or with any enquiries, please email vnithy@marram.online or contact Vik Nithy (vey/vem/veirs) on 0433970602.
