Join us in an evening of auditory exploration as we present the seventh iteration of QUADRANT โ€“ a quadraphonic electronic music experience that explores spatial sound performance and realtime video art. Quadraphonic sound, or sound that emanates from 4 speakers surrounding the listener, greatly expands the possibilities for immersive electronic music performances beyond the ordinary. For QUADRANT v7.0, each artist has crafted a performance that utilizes dadaLab's 4-channel spatial audio system, creating a uniquely immersive sonic experience.ย Prepare for an experience that challenges convention, transcends stereo, and envelops your senses.

Joseph Salazar

Joseph Salazar is an electronic musician, composer and sound artist crafting surreal sonic landscapes through synthesis, rhythm and texture. Inspired by the mystery of consciousness, concepts of infinity, and various theories on the nature of reality, his work explores the tension between structure and chaos, blending hypnotic sequences, evolving atmospheres, and melancholic, euphoric melodies. With synthesizers, drum machines, and experimental effects, he sculpts compositions that drift between emotive, dreamlike music and otherworldly ambiance.

As a composer, Joseph Salazar has contributed scores to video games (Halo Infinite, Where the Heart Leads), short films and multimedia projects. His work has been featured on KUTXโ€™s Song of the Day and recognized at festivals such as The Art of Brooklyn Film Festival and WorldFest Houston. As a member of various bands, he has performed extensively across the U.S., including SXSW and CMJ Music Marathon showcases and West Coast tours, sharing stages with artists like TOBACCO, Baths, Gang Gang Dance, Chelsea Wolfe and Julianna Barwick.

Whether in the studio or on stage, his music is an exploration of sonic possibilityโ€”shifting, expanding, and searching for new forms of expression.
