MindLabs - Introduction to Qualitative Research Methods
Event description
This workshop will describe the underlying principles of qualitative research, explore some of the common methodological approaches, and detail the methods used for data collection and analysis. As part of the workshop, participants will be invited to develop their own qualitative research question and study design. Additionally, the workshop includes a detailed overview of narrative approaches to research and thematic analysis.

Dr Michael Hodgins PhD, MQHR, BEd
Dr Michael Hodgins is a Research Associate with the UNSW Population Child Health Research Group. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy from Western Sydney University and a Masters in Qualitative Health Research at The University of Sydney. He has more than 10 years’ experience conducting qualitative research in healthcare.
