This is an opportunity to have your say on reforms to support high-quality training delivery. The VET sector supports and develops diverse skills across a broad range of industries. A strong VET sector is vital to the Australian economy.

The National Skills Reform Agenda is about improving the VET sector to ensure Australia has a highly skilled workforce ready for the job market, now and into the future.

What is this workshop about?

This workshop will explore specific issues and improvements under the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015. The Standards for RTOs play an important role in maintaining quality within the sector. We want to know whether the current requirements are appropriate, and to what extent the Standards are effective in supporting RTOs to deliver high-quality training.

An issues paper is available with more information about the issues we will cover during the workshop.

The feedback we receive will inform decisions about possible improvements to the Standards and future arrangements for the VET system.

Who should attend?

This workshop is designed for

  • Registered training organisations
  • Trainers and assessors
  • Other VET stakeholders who have a detailed knowledge of the RTO Standards.

How will this workshop be run?

The workshop will run for 2 hours and will include detailed open discussion on the current Standards for RTOs. It will provide opportunities for participants to discuss where requirements should be clarified, where there are gaps or duplication, and how the Standards can better ensure a focus on quality outcomes.

It will take place online using Microsoft Teams. You will receive information on how to join prior to the workshop.

If you have accessibility requirements, please include these when registering.
