Quantum Kids Winter Quest
Event description
Welcome to the Quantum Kids Winter Quest!
This is your opportunity to visit our premium homeschool drop-off program.
For a small group of children aged 8-16 we provide an exciting and enriching Friday session including;
- Quantum Physics and Neuroscience for kids curriculum
- Music, culture & drumming circles
- Sports & Athletics
- Art, clay, textiles
- Cooking
- Building
- and more!
We follow a democratic education approach with WildSchool mentorship.
Children are valued members of the community and heartful, compassionate listening to feelings and needs is applied.
Woven with deep reverence for the earth and place-based nature connection, as well as the sharing of cultural knowledge systems from elders and custodians.
There is nothing like this available yet!
We meet weekly at the Classroom Without Walls, in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, 15 mins West off the highway at Eumundi. Close enough for daily access but far enough that organic nature outweighs human influence, with fresh air and no EMF pollution.
Exact address provided upon booking.
For our Quantum kids there are limited numbers in each group, 8-12 year olds and 12+.
In term 3 we only have space for 2 more children in the 12-16 age group and 3 spaces in the 8-12 age group.
This will be a more structured day of focused learning times, with freedom within the structure for children's ideas and contributions.

Winter Quest Holiday Session
Our Winter Quest is an opportunity for interested families to come and visit the space, meet some of the facilitators and see if we will be a good fit for your child/ren.
The holiday session can be drop-off or parents stay and connect.
Arrive from 9am to explore the space and we will start our first circle at 10am.
Please arrive and settle in before 10am.
Children will be in multi-age teams for the rogaining challenge, a series of questions hidden around the property and bushland that they will answer together to explore their knowledge on diverse topics from general to seasons, maths and science.
This is a fun and cooperative activity that combines academics with exercise!
Next they will play the Plant ID game, a favourite with our WildSchool Wednesday group.
Bring your packed lunches for a picnic and we will also cook some damper on the fire while listening to the winter solstice story about the rebirth of the sun.
There will be plenty of time for children to connect, play and make new friends.
The afternoon session includes a drumming circle with African cultural ambassador Samoko.
We will finish up at 2.30pm with a gratitude circle.
The curriculum will be available to view and bookings can be made for term 3 in either of our programs.

With a Bachelor of Education and working in schools in many different locations and environments throughout Australia, Dakotah has experienced a range of educational programs that have made a valuable contribution to her skills as an educator. She was classroom teaching for 18 years, has been guiding breathwork for 2.5 years and teaching in the homeschool community for the last 1 year.

One of Dakotah’s greatest passions is to support and encourage students of all ages as they explore science and new concepts with curiosity and the knowing that great questions open doors to new thoughts, new adventures, and creative potentials.
Samoko Okoth
Sam Okoth (Samoko) is a cultural ambassador, master musician, performer, choreographer and community development worker from the Luo tribes of Kenya. With a long heritage past in music, dance, cultural presentation and community engagement across all sectors from childcare to corporate and university, Samoko brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in connecting people with positive culture for health and well-being.
Samoko worked on a two-year federally funded project entitled, Empowering Youth To Thrive (EYTT). In his youth mentorship and facilitation for community development he engaged with youth, 15-24 years old, at risk of long-term unemployment, social disengagement and criminal behaviour. These young people faced many different obstacles ranging from anxiety, depression, trauma, family violence and more. Using the work of Bruce Perry (Neuro-Sequential Model of Therapeutics), Joseph Campbell’s Heroes Journey, The Way of Circle, the participants were reconnected and empowered to thrive.
Also a loving father, Samoko is son of a village and brings his African village ways to reweave cultural repair in our families and communities.
