Quarterly SA Youth Arts Sector Meetings
Event description
Carclew is the home of youth arts and creativity. It connects all children and young people to a world of creative possibilities, as artists, learners and audiences.
At a time of unprecedented growth and driven by the core value to have the greatest impact on the greatest number, Carclew has an ambitious path to amplify and elevate the youth arts sector in Adelaide, South Australia and nationally.
As part of this work, Carclew is holding Quarterly Youth Arts Sector Meetings for all those working creatively with children and young people in South Australia.
The purpose of these meetings is to:
- To connect as a sector and plan for how to amplify and elevate our work
- To learn from each other and experts in other areas
- To imagine, create and develop great ideas for the future for creativity for children and young people
These gatherings are for:
- Dedicated youth arts organisations
- Arts organisations working with children, young people and schools
- Small businesses and sole traders working creatively with children and young people
- Metro, regional and remote organisations
Carclew will host these meetings and circulate the agenda in advance so you can decide if attending is right for you and your organisation. The next meeting is scheduled for 11 September from 2:30pm.
Meetings to be held at Carclew in the Ballroom, 11 Jeffcott Street, North Adelaide but may change venues from time to time. The meetings will be hybrid to ensure access and equity across South Australian regional and remote communities.
First Nations voices and values are at the centre of all Carclew does. Through our commitment to First Nations children, artists and communities, we aim to ensure a safe space to learn and educate, inspire awareness and respect, and help to develop the cultural leaders of tomorrow.
Carclew is committed to fostering inclusiveness and embraces the diversity of all people, such as differences in cultural background, ethnicity, disability, age, faith, gender identity, sexual orientation, socio-economic background or geographic location. Respect and integrity underpin our interactions and we welcome everyone to participate in our programs. We don’t tolerate bullying, discrimination, victimisation or harassment of any kind and actively prevent, address and eliminate such behaviours.
