Event description
Background
Queensland Disaster Management Arrangements (QDMA) is the foundation for all Disaster Management training and should be completed prior to undertaking any other courses under the Queensland Disaster Management Training Framework (QDMTF).
As a key stakeholder within the QDMTF, it is highly recommended that you complete this training module face-to-face, delivered by your Emergency Management Coordinator (EMC), to enable the training to be contextualised to your local area and needs.

Aim
Assist emergency personnel, volunteers and community using the comprehensive framework in managing and responding to disasters effectively within the state of Queensland.
Objectives:
- Knowledge of disaster management legislation, doctrine, principles and approaches
- Understanding local, district and State disaster management group structures and functions
- Prevention, preparedness, response and recovery activities
- Disaster declaration arrangements
- Disaster funding arrangements

There are no prerequisites for this course
