Queensland LGBTQIA+ Listening and Engagement Roundtables
Event description
We want to hear from LGBTQIA+ Sistergirl & Brotherboy Queenslanders!
The Queensland LGBTQIA+ Alliance will be facilitating several LGBTQIA+ Listening and Engagement Roundtables in 2025. These Roundtables are an opportunity to connect directly with local LGBTQIA+ Sistergirl & Brotherboy Queenslanders communities and to listen directly to local voices, community priorities, and aspirations.
We’re inviting local LGBTQIA+ Sistergirl & Brotherboy community members, community stakeholders, government organisations, service providers, grassroots social and or peer-led groups to the table. We want to ensure the voices, priorities, and aspirations of all LGBTQIA+ people in urban, regional, and discrete communities are heard and included.
The Queensland Government has funded the Queensland LGBTQIA+ Alliance to facilitate LGBTQIA+ Listening and Engagement roundtables to gather community input on statewide priorities. This opportunity will help paint a clear view and understanding of existing and future-facing LGBTQIA+ priorities and needs in Queensland.
The locations and dates for our statewide roundtables are listed below.
Please carefully read through the schedule and identify which location, date and time you would like to attend, as you will need to select the relevant session at checkout.

About the Queensland LGBTQIA+ Alliance
The Queensland LGBTQIA+ Alliance is the peak alliance committed to building a healthier, more just, and more connected future for LGBTQIA+ people across the state.
We are a coalition of Queensland LGBTQIA+ organisations — big and small, regional and urban, grassroots and specialist — who have come together not just to be heard, but to lead reform together.
Guided by First Nations leadership, LGBTQIA+ peer wisdom, and lived experience, the Alliance serves as a trusted voice, a collaborative home, and a platform to progress meaningful change across generations of LGBTQIA+ Queenslanders.
We know that promising practice solutions come from the people living the realities. That’s why we prioritise community expertise at every level — not as a checkbox, but as the foundation of everything we do.
We facilitate inclusive policy, research and advocacy initiatives to elevate the priorities, voices and leadership of LGBTQIA+ Queenslanders, including underrepresented groups such as First Nations, Transgender and Gender-Diverse peoples, Intersex peoples, people living with disabilities and culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) people.
We invest in regional, rural, and remote community capacity across the state to ensure that all LGBTQIA+ people, families, and their children, regardless of their geographical location, have access to safe, inclusive, culturally secure, and affirming support, representation, rights, and opportunities.
We exist to empower, elevate, and amplify the work of LGBTQIA+ services, groups, and individuals across our sunny state, while also pushing for whole-of-government systems-level change and reform that our people need and deserve.
