Donation Terms and Conditions – Queensland Volunteer Awards

1. Donation Purpose

By donating $900, you are supporting the Queensland Volunteer Awards, which celebrate and recognise the outstanding contributions of volunteers across Queensland. Your contribution assists with the delivery of this important annual event and broader initiatives that support volunteering across the state.

2. Deductibility of Donation

Volunteering Queensland Inc. is a registered charity and is endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR).

Donations of $2 or more may be tax-deductible under Division 30 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997 (Cth).

This donation is made voluntarily and unconditionally, and no material benefit is provided to the donor in return.

3. Use of Funds

Your donation will be applied to support the planning, delivery, and promotion of the Queensland Volunteer Awards, and to further Volunteering Queensland’s work in building resilient communities through volunteering.

Volunteering Queensland will use donated funds responsibly and effectively, in accordance with its constitution and charitable purpose.

4. Receipt and Recordkeeping

A receipt will be issued confirming the amount donated and stating that no goods or services were received in return. Donors should retain this receipt for their tax records and consult a registered tax agent for advice on claiming deductions.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

Donations are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law. If an error is made in the amount of any donation, contact must be made to Volunteering Queensland within 14 days of the transaction to request a correction. Refunds will be made at Volunteering Queensland’s discretion, in accordance with applicable laws and reserves the right to determine how donated funds are allocated in alignment with its charitable objectives.

6. Acknowledgement

Unless anonymity is requested, donors may be acknowledged in Volunteering Queensland communications, publications, or at the Queensland Volunteer Awards. Volunteering Queensland respects personal privacy and handles all personal

information in accordance with its Privacy Policy, which complies with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Donors may opt out of public acknowledgment at any time by contacting Volunteering Queensland.

7. Transparency and Accountability

Volunteering Queensland is committed to transparency. Annual reports and financial statements are available on request or via our website, providing insight into how donations are used and the impact they help achieve.
