Artist talk 

Hear from LGBTQ+ Blak artists Latoya Aroha Rule, Dominic Guerrera and Dennis Golding on the impact of the racial violence pandemic upon Queer and Blak communities since 2020. Hosted by Jumbunna Institute for Indigenous Education and Research at UTS.

Queer+Blak Pride

The Queer+Blak Pride exhibition celebrates sovereignty, visibility, resilience, power and beauty of Queer Blak (First Nations) people.  

The exhibition features works by LGBTQ+ Blak artists including: 

  • OutRage: Latoya Aroha Rule (they/them) and Dominic Guerrera (he/him) 
  • The Future is Here: Dennis Golding (he/him) with Solid Ground, Alexandria Park Community School
  • Walkin: Charlotte Allingham (she/her).

Exhibition open from Saturday 18th of February to Friday 3rd of March, 2023. Opening hours 9am - 5pm daily. 

Queer+Blak Pride is curated by Latoya Aroha Rule, Jumbunna Institute for Indigenous Education and Research, UTS in partnership with Centre for Social Justice & Inclusion. Special thanks to UTS Gallery, Solid Ground, Alexandria Park Community School, OutRage photo series participants, Bexx Djentuh-Davis and Drummond Street Services.
