Queer Courts Winter Classic: Pickleball Tournament

Join us for the Queer Courts Winter Classic Pickleball Tournament!

On Sunday, December 15 from 11 AM to 5 PM, we're hosting a festive + friendly indoor tournament at Portland Tennis & Education. This event is organized by and for the queer community.

We encourage teams to have a mix of players across the 3.0-4.0 range (learn more about ratings) to encourage a fun and inclusive experience for all.

The tournament is mixed doubles (2 on 2), with teams consisting of 2-6 total players to allow for substitutions. Players will compete in a round robin with approximately 8 matches, followed by a single-elimination playoff. 

There will be breaks between games and a break for lunch at 1pm. We recommend having plenty of substitutes, as playing 8 games can be demanding!

How to sign up:

Option A) Form your own team! Please indicate your team name/teammates names in the form at checkout.

For this option, you can pay $120 to sign up your whole team (up to 6 players) - have a team captain do this. ($100 early bird ends 11/25)

Option B) Sign up as an individual and be placed on a team, and pay $48. ($42 early bird ends 11/25)

There will be prizes for the winning team! 

Players should bring:

• Sweatshirt or jacket for when not playing (we'll be inside, but it can get chilly)
• Water bottle
• Lunch (many restaurants within a 5 minute walk)
• Paddles if you have them (we have extra in case you don’t)
