Queer Friendships - Photography exhibition and community gathering
Description
Queer Friendships is a participatory photography project exploring queer friendship, intimacy, connection, care and chosen family.
Created through a series of portrait sessions with members of Sydneyβs queer community, the project celebrates the relationships that shape, support and sustain us, and the many ways friendship can be represented and experienced.
Join us for the Queer Friendships exhibition, bringing together portraits created throughout the project and the people and community around them.
The exhibition
The exhibition will be open from 4:00β9:00 pm, with creative activities and workshops taking place throughout the afternoon and evening.
The full program and workshop schedule will be announced soon.
Come for the exhibition, take part in an activity, meet people, bring your friends and spend some time celebrating queer friendship and community.
The exhibition is free to attend, but registration is requested to help us manage numbers at the venue.
Youβre welcome to bring friends, partners and chosen family, please register each attendee.
As the venue is relatively small, there may be periods during the event when we need to manage the number of people inside the exhibition space.
Follow @queerfriendships for exhibition updates and the full program.
