Queer Harmony Week Meet-Up: identity, sexuality, culture
Come along for a relaxed meet and greet with local queer Aus-Fijian Singer/Songwriter/Producer Andrea Kirwin at her new venue Peace Run Records on Queen Street in Nambour.
SPECIAL GUEST ANNOUNCEMENT: Hope One!
Hope One is a world-renowned Gender-fluid, Queer, Maori Beatboxer, their
pronouns are She/They. Based in Brisbane Australia, Hope’s career started out
winning an Australian Idol audition landing a spot in the Beatbox Alliance and touring nationally. Later to develop into the award-winning, multi-disciplinary artist she is today. Placing third in the Womens division of the Beatboxing World Championships, warming up stages for major Hip Hop stars and touring the world with theatre show Hot Brown Honey. Hope incorporates their drag alter-ego, queerness and decolonial culture practises into awe-inspiring, visually penetrating Beatbox experiences.
Come along to hear Hope and Andrea both perform and talk about their experiences, meet other local queer folks from all backgrounds and connect to community through music, games, conversations and culture.
