Queer Love Labs RBDSMA: A tool for healthier relationships, sex and conversation.

We’re running a Strong, Safe & Fabulous Queer Love Lab exploring how we can build relationships that work for us.

As queer and disabled people, we don’t always fit the relationship scripts and structures we’re given. This workshop is an opportunity to get specific about what we want, what we need, and how we can communicate those things with other people.

We’ll be using the RBDSMA framework as a practical tool for having conversations about:

• Relationships

• Boundaries

• Desires

• Sexual Health

• Meaning

• Anything Else including presence, fears, concerns, needs or anything that doesn’t quite fit into the rest of the Acronym

We’ll work through examples together, practise some conversations with our co-facilitators and use a simple worksheet that you can take home and use again whenever you need it.

The workshop is for anyone who wants to think about relating differently. You don’t need to be dating, partnered or sexually active to participate. RBDSMA can be useful for friendships, chosen family, hookups, situationships, partnerships, exes, work relationships, community relationships or simply figuring out what you want from your relationships.

The second half of the session will be a collage activity exploring what we want our relationships and ways of relating to feel like.

• Practical ways to ask for what you want

• A framework you can return to when relationships or circumstances change

• A creative reflection on the kinds of relationships and connection you want in your life
