Queer Reviewed: Hot Wet Australian Science

Peer Reviewed is an adults‑only science fair and gloriously queer nerd extravaganza celebrating the most chaotic STEM minds in our community. Competitors are invited to debut their most unhinged, playful and horniest research projects, proudly displayed on trifolds and explained with the kind of over‑the‑top enthusiasm only a queer scientist can muster. Registrations are $15 for contestants, or free for concession card holders.

If presenting isn’t your vibe, join us as an audience member and vote for the projects that delight, confuse or arouse you.

You’ll kick off the night by wandering through lovingly crafted displays showcasing everything from environmental curiosities to social science deep dives. Audience votes will determine our top contenders, who will then face off in a head‑to‑head showdown judged by a panel featuring a real researcher, a comedian and one of our beloved producers. Together, they’ll decide who “wins at science” in a process that is equal parts scientifically rigorous and joyfully ridiculous.

Peer Reviewed mixes its scientific chaos with performance and play, because learning should be fun. Expect a Strip Spelling Bee where local burlesque performers tackle scientific terminology with charm and strategic undressing.
