Join us for the queer sex education session you've been waiting for!

During this online Q&A, sexologist, researcher and educator, Naomi Hutchings and a panel of lived experience student experts will be answering all of your burning questions about sex, sexuality, gender identity, sexual health and relationships with a focus on LGBTQIA+ relationships and sexual health. Come with questions and curiosity for this after-hours session that you can dial in from wherever you’re most comfortable!

This session will be in an online meeting style format, so you will be able to see other participants. You can choose to use a different name should you wish, to tune in with complete privacy! We have opted for an online meeting style format to improve our sense of community and connection in this session!

Meet our student panellists:

Abbie Hughes, Adelaide Uni

Abbie is a 20-year-old Queer, Disabled woman, Law / Sociology student and youth / disability advocate. She is passionate about ensuring disabled and youth voices are heard, invited and respected particularly in rooms where decisions are made. She is also the current President of the Adelaide University Disability Collective and works as a member of several committees as an intersectional youth advocate including: DHS Youth Minister's Advisory Council, South Australian Youth Forum and YACSA Youth Hub Working Group. 

Ea Sullivan, Adelaide Uni

Ea is a 21yr old, queer, trans masculine, history student, intersectional feminist, and the welfare officer for the Women’s Collective. They’re a big advocate for the importance of learning, especially regarding the understanding of others. Coming from Tasmania, topics like sexuality and different identities- particularly lgbtqia+ things- were super taboo and non-talking points, this building aspirations for such topics around different experiences becoming more normative.

Ali Spanevello, University of Queensland

Ali (they/he/she) is a queer software engineering student, who also works part-time in the field. They are the past 2025 UQU Queer Officer and current UQU Councillor. He is passionate about queer community and advocacy, birding, and nature. Ali was on last year's SEXtember Queer Sex Ed panel, and is very excited to be back.
