Queer Social Footscray: No Needle Knitting via Cosy Pillows with Maria
Event description
Can you make a big chunky pillow in 30mins? Yes you can!
In this class, we'll learn a No-needle knitting technique using the chunkiest, softest yarn. You'll leave with a new fun hobby and a new cozy pillow everyone will be able to finish during the class.
This event will be half social chats with a bunch of like minded queer people and half fun, educational and interactive workshop.
All workshops are taught by queers, for queers.
What will we cover?
In this class you will learn:
- What is arm / no needle knitting
- How to begin (cast on), progress, and finish (cast off) a knitting project
- Suitability of different types and sizes of yarn
- Ideas for other no needle knitted projects

Who will be Teaching?
Maria (she/her) is a serial crafter. She loves learning about new crafts and techniques! She does crochet, macrame, sewing, pottery, weaving and likes to explore how these crafts can be combined and expanded.Â
In addition to plants and crafting, she also has a passion for cooking and baking, light painting and running Laneway Learning. You can follow her journey at @malayebra
