Queer Social: Kawaii Pride Magnets, Keyrings and Accessories with Maria
Event description
Kawaii is the Japanese culture of cuteness, and in this class Maria will show you how to make the cutest polymer clay accessories ever!
Polymer Clay is a a fun and easy-to-use modelling medium with all the
colours to choose from. Together we will learn how to mould different items, how to
mix colours and how to play with Japanese-style kawaii features.
We'll put this into practice and everyone can make some polymer clay accessories, like earrings with different types of backings (studs, hooks and clip-ons), keyrings, badges or magnets!
This event will be half social chats with a bunch of like- minded queer people and half fun, educational and interactive workshop.
What will we cover?
In this hands on workshop you will learn:
- What is Polymer Clay
- How to mold, cut and shape Polymer Clay
- How to construct and mould
- The clay baking process
- Adding your findings accessories, magnets or keyrings

Who will be Teaching?
Maria (she/her) is a serial crafter. She loves learning about new crafts and techniques! She does crochet, macrame, sewing, pottery, weaving and likes to explore how these crafts can be combined and expanded.
In addition to plants and crafting, she also has a passion for cooking and baking, light painting and running Laneway Learning. You can follow her journey at @malayebra
