Queer World Makers Festival
Event description
The Queer International Student Festival celebrates the cultural identities and creativity of LGBTQIA+ international students, alumni, and allies from the world and different cultures.
Culture is explored as a living, evolving experience shaped by migration, queerness, and place, expressed through food, language, art, and storytelling.
This festival offers a culturally safe and affirming space for sharing traditions through a queer lens, preserving memory while inspiring new forms of expression.
What to expect:
Art, zines, and storytelling by queer international creators
Cultural exchange through food, music, and performance
Intercultural dialogue and community connection
A celebration of resilience, identity, and belonging
Grab a bite, meet new people, and mingle
Or just chill and relax in a quiet corner
Welcome all age groups, all abilities, all genders, families, and friends.
Join us to experience the creativity, solidarity, and diversity that make Victoria’s multicultural and queer communities thrive. Open to LGBTQIA+ international, migrant, and multicultural communities.
