What's this?

A new social Sydney event where we watch a comedy show in a bar, learn about humour from a linguist, have pizza & wine (or whatever you fancy), and meet new people.

On the lineup:

Comedian Alexandra Hudson joins us for a night! She's one of the most interesting stand-ups working right now and also happens to have cerebral palsy, turning her experiences into sharp, funny material. She has taken her acts to audiences across Australia and beyond.

Then, linguistics professor Dr Debra Aarons takes the mic to unpack comedy itself: the history of comedy, different portrayals, the elements of humour and the advent of cancel culture.

We're not for profit:

This is volunteer-run, so we're not taking a cut — it just covers the venue's minimum spend.
