Questioning God Week - 23 to 29 April 2023

If there was a 1% chance that you could meet with the God of the universe would you go?

Here are three questions for you to ponder:

1. Does God know your situation? Absolutely
2. Is it too hard for him to handle? Absolutely Not
3. Does God have a good plan for you? Of course.

Then like in any relationship, it’s time to schedule the meeting, sit with Him and ask Him. Any relationship is built through the asking of questions. Why not, then, take time to ask God questions?

There are times though, when it helps to have someone guide you and help you in these conversations with God.

To know what are the questions to ask and to be able to check that what you are hearing is from God. Plus we hear the voice of God in community. Being able to share what you heard, with others, and to hear what others have heard, encourages you, confirms what you have heard is correct and encourages us.

Therefore, I am extending an invitation to you to journey with God over a 7 day period to ask God a series of questions about;

1. You
2. God
3. Your Past
4. Your Future
5. Money
6. Your Purpose
7. Your Business/Vocation

Here is how it will work:

On Sunday night 23 April 2023 @ 7 pm Brisbane Time, we will do a Zoom call to introduce you to the week and do the first asking God questions exercise together.

Then from Monday to Friday - you can access the google form with all the questions on there for you to answer with God. At the end of that time you hit submit and those answers are collated and then shared with the others doing the week.  Why? Because we hear the voice of God in community, what God shares with you, he often shares with others.  It is a great way of knowing that what God spoke to you is of him.

On Saturday 29 April, 2023 at 10 am we will do a zoom call with the final asking God questions together, plus have an extended time of sharing what God spoke with you about over the week.

How much time will it take?

Apart from the Zoom calls which will go for about an hour to an hour and a half, the daily time with God will take approx. 30 minutes.

Who will Facilitate this Time?

Wes Leake. Wes is an experienced prayer leader and spiritual coach with years of experience in leading Listening Prayer times and helping people connect with God through regular “2 Chairs” times. He is a student of spiritual formation and currently completing his Masters degree in spiritual formation. He is married to Pam and has four incredible children.

Is there a cost?

No, but we ask that you make a donation towards this week. There is something about making a financial contribution that helps with your commitment to seeing the week out. There will be an opportunity to donate when you register and at the end of the week.
