Event description

Patricia Belyea of Okan Arts makes beautiful, delightful quilts, often using the antique, handmade yukata cotton that her company imports. The bright, bold designs, the indigo blues and whites, give her work a distinctive look full of personality. Okan Arts has branched out from just being a fabric import company and now conducts tours in Japan, bringing a love of Japanese textiles and textile artists to many people every year. Join me to have a look at some spectacular Japanese quilts from the International Quilt Museum and to learn more about these special fabrics and quilts. Ticket buyers automatically receive the recording of the class.
