Quilt Freedom Workshop 49: Newly Traditional

Alex Anderson is not only a media superstar in the quilt world, former host of Simply Quilts, cohost with Ricky Tims of The Quilt Show, she is an excellent quilt maker herself. And a great hand quilter. When I had a quilt in the frame a couple years ago I invited Alex to come and quilt with me on it, and it was my most fun day hand quilting ever. At this point she needs no introduction, but I will get to introduce her anyway and have a conversation about how our quilt world has grown and changed over the last 50 years. Smart, kind and generous, Alex brightens the whole place. Carolyn Ducey and I are picking some of the superstar quilts from the International Quilt Museum to go with the high wattage day. We'll be making a quilt block, so get comfortable in your sewing room and have some fabric handy.
