    Event description

Radha Weaver Is a San Francisco quilter, clothing designer, denim upcycling expert with a history in the denim business. She used to help create the denim she now tries to keep from the landfill. Her work has a unique sense of authority and elegance without losing its sense of humor and easy style. I asked Radha to come to the studio as my guest artist to see some of her work live, in person, so we can talk about the vast amount of denim in the world and how she thinks we can make best use of it. Join us for some great ideas for quilts and clothes that you can make your own.

Along with Radha I'll have Julie Silber with some superb quilts you have never before seen, as well as Carolyn Ducey from the International Quilt Museum on her last visit to the show for a while, as she is retiring in January! I'll be showing some of my denim collection, my paint spattered workwear from the Chicago Lyric Opera set painting department and other clothing I've saved to show some new ideas for upcycling it all. Join us to see some old and new quilts to get your creative spirit energized in time for gift making!

All ticketholders receive the link to the recording of the workshop, so if you are not available at 9AM on December 14 you can watch the workshop whenever it's convenient!

Also, to save money on these workshops, you can become a patron on Patreon at the $30/month level and get the workshop and recordings automatically, as well as the weekly visit live in my studio on friday afternoons.
