Quilt Freedom Workshop 60: The Modern World

Modern Quiltmaking, the movement that brought us QuiltCon and kicked the barnwood out of the quilt shops, lots of solid colors isolated in expanses of negative space, has brought new energy and new ways of thinking to the world of quilts. One of the very best quilt artists to be associated with the label is Hillary Goodwin, brilliant designer and tireless maker of beautiful quilts and clothes. Hillary will join Joe in the studio to look at some of her work and talk about her approach. Along with Hillary we'll look at some great examples from the International Quilt Museum and some historical examples that show where the Modern movement originated.
