Quilt Freedom Workshop 75: Modern Pioneer

As one of the founders of the Modern Quilt Guild and Quilt Con, Latifah has worked tirelessly to advance the cause of Modern quiltmaking. Her quilts are always smart, fun and fresh. The Modern movement has served as an entry point for many potential quilters who were not interested in recreating works from the past, and since its inception The Modern Quilt Guild has grown more and more inclusive. Few people in the quilt world have been more influential than Latifah and I am honored to have her as a guest! Since I have talked a lot about Modern quilts and have advocated for a movement of Post Modern Quilts, we'll have lots to discuss. Julie Silber will bring some ancient modern-style quilts and I'll be demonstrating some of my favorite bias tape techniques.
