Mon, 7 Apr, 5:30pm - 7pm AEST

Event description

Long time fruit preserver and jam veteran, Di will guide us through making quince jam, jelly and paste.

Quinces contain several essential vitamins and minerals, plus antioxidants so this is a great way to extend the harvest by making something delicious.

During the first session on Sunday, we will chop and chat about the process then boil up the fruit. We'll strain it overnight then come back Monday for the next session to finish it off.

You don't have to come to both sessions but it really helps to understand the process.

We will have some cheese and crackers to sample some of the goods, and if you come along you get a jar to take home.

It's also a great opportunity to say hello to the rest of Fruit Rescue crew - feel free to bring along friends.

This event is supported through Warrnambool City Council's Healthy Warrnambool funding.
