FAQs

• Wait, so this is a quiz night?

  Yes, but not an ordinary one. There will be trivia, but also creativity, nonsense, and questionable questions.

• But I am really bad at quizzes!

  Great! You don't need to be good.

• What kind of trivia?

  All trivia, but absolutely no sports.

• Who runs the quiz?

  The Quizmaster. Their decisions are final and binding. Their authority is not to be questioned.

• Is the scoring different to a normal quiz?

  Yes. Questions are worth between 1 and 5 points. The Quizmaster will determine how many you deserve.

• How do the teams work?

  There will be six teams of five. You can arrive with a team, part of a team or entirely on your own. Any incomplete teams will be negotiated on the night.

• An open mic at a quiz night?!

  You bet! Participation is not compulsory. The Quizmaster will determine the order.

• What do the winners get?

  The winning team shall receive the Quizmaster Envelope. Its contents are highly confidential and known only to the Quizmaster.

• Wait, isn't this just taskmaster?

  Even though we have a similar name, a similar scoring system, an assistant and ridiculous questions, we legally insist that this is entirely different. The Quizmaster is also a quarter of the size of the Taskmaster, and although they verge on tyranny and are not to be trifled with, they are legally nothing alike (legally).

• On a serious note

  We love quiz nights, but we are aware they aren't always the most welcoming environment for everybody. We wanted to create something different. A cosy, inclusive quiz night full of humour and creativity.

  You don't need to know anything, be particularly creative or even care about winning. We're here to have a good time and hopefully make a few friends.
