FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who can register to take the tour?

Our campus tours program is for prospective undergraduate students –

  • Year 11 and 12 students and their parents/guardians/family
  • Mature-age students/non-school leavers who are considering undergraduate study.

I am an international student, could I join your campus tour?

Yes, you can. However, if you have specific international admissions related questions, please contact our dedicated team for international students at brisinternational@qut.edu.au

I’m not sure which campus to tour?

Where you study will depend on the course you choose. Check the campus for your preferred course on our study page.

Can I tour both campuses?

Yes, you can. You will need to register for the other campus tour separately. You can return to the event website here.

Can I park at Kelvin Grove?

There is paid parking available on campus. Ensure you give yourself an extra 15 minutes to park and walk to the tour meeting point at A block. Plan your trip to Kelvin Grove.

Can I park at Gardens Point?

As Gardens Point is located in the city, we strongly recommend public transport. There is also paid parking available on campus. Ensure you give yourself an extra 15 minutes to park and walk to the tour meeting point at A block. Plan your trip to Gardens Point

How do I get from one campus to another?

If you do not have your own vehicle and are booked in to visit the other QUT campus, speak with your tour guide who can provide you with a bus pass to travel on the QUT shuttle bus (usually for staff and students only).

Who will be my tour guide?
Tour guides will be current QUT student ambassadors who will provide general campus information and an insight into what it’s like to study at QUT. Look out for the navy blue QUT t-shirts in front of A block at each campus.

I am interested in course-specific information

We're unable to guarantee that your student tour guide will be studying within your interest area. Students may not be able to answer specific course or admissions questions but will refer you to our specialist HiQ team at the end of the tour where you can ask further questions. The HiQ team is located within the library at both campuses.

Personal items and storage

We are unable to store bags, or any other large items. Please only bring what you can carry with you.

Sun safety and wet weather

As your tour will be predominantly outdoors, ensure you wear a hat and sunscreen. We recommend bringing along an umbrella if it looks like rain. Please bring along a water bottle. Water bubblers are accessible across both campuses to refill your bottle.

Disability assistance

Please contact QUT Student Recruitment on phone 07 3138 8567 or email exploreevents@qut.edu.au to discuss tour options for prospective students with a disability.
