QUT Design Lab: Book Launch and Lunch
Event description
Join us at QUT Design Lab's Book Launch & Lunch event to celebrate the launch of four books exploring co-design, design education, culture, and commerce. Drawing on a rich array of real-world projects, these books illustrate how design methods and mindsets, including co-design, prototyping, and design thinking, facilitate creative problem-solving in diverse healthcare, education and commerce contexts. The event features a panel discussion with the authors, offering firsthand insights, anecdotes, and key takeaways from their respective books.
We look forward to welcoming you to this special celebration, where designers, policymakers, consumers, clinicians, business leaders, educators, and academics connect to celebrate the power of design expertise and collaboration. The books being launched are:
Lisa Scharoun, Deanna Meth, Philip Crowther, Dean Brough, Lindy Osborne Burton & Muge Fialho Leandro Alves Teixeira (eds), Contemporary Design Education in Australia: Creating Transdisciplinary Futures (Intellect Books)
Jeremy Kerr, Jessica Cheers, Danielle Gallegos, Althea Blackler & Nick Kelly, The Art of Co-Design: A Guide Through Creative Collaboration (BIS Publishers)
