QUT Entrepreneurship Open Pitch Night
Event description
Join us in person at The foundry, Gardens Point campus, for an opportunity to have your idea heard, get feedback and put an ask out to the broader community in an encouraging and inclusive environment.
Who can participate?
QUT Entrepreneurship’s Open Pitch Nights are an opportunity for people with an idea to pitch for feedback, to practice, or for an ask such as a new team member, or investment.
Everyone is welcome to participate - either as a spectator or to pitch – our open pitch nights include QUT students, alumni and staff as well as the wider startup community.
Open Pitch Night is open to all abilities from those starting out as an entrepreneur to the more experienced. Pitch nights are also a great networking opportunity to meet other like-minded people interested in innovation, startups, new business and entrepreneurship.
Why open pitch nights?
Pitching is a skill that can be beneficial to everyone, across all disciplines and study areas. Pitching is commonly used by entrepreneurs and startups to share their ideas, promote their business or frame a particular ask, like capital investment. In an encouraging and inclusive environment, at QUT Entrepreneurship we invite you to participate in pitching.
About the pitch format
Pitches are a maximum of 3 minutes each. Our MC will keep time on the pitches. You don’t need to have slides, but if you let the MC know, then we will allow individuals to share slides for their pitch. We do encourage you to simply do an open mic pitch without prompts.
