Come and see the results of QUT Entrepreneurship teams participating in programs in Semester 2, 2024. Teams from our Side Hustle, Venture Catalyst, Innovation Catalyst, Litmus, and Growth Lab programs pitch their venture. The Showcase is a celebration of the work and achievements every team has made over this semester.
Litmus grows your entrepreneurial mindset to benefit your research and future career. This programme is sponsored by QUT Entrepreneurship for doctoral students and early career researchers and will help you develop your entrepreneurial knowledge, skills, and mindset. Whether your future career lies in academia, working for a large-scale organisation or running your own business, the LITMUS programme can help prepare you.
Side Hustle demystifies the process of identifying a ‘problem worth solving,’ validating the idea, building the business model and sourcing customers an. Side Hustle is for anyone who has had an idea for a side project but not sure where to start or could use some guidance to take it further.
Venture Catalyst for when you've found a problem worth solving, developed your personas and your value proposition, and come up with a potential MVP. Venture Catalyst- Beyond Side Hustle takes you through the next steps to get your idea to market. These include creating and establishing your brand and marketing collateral, finessing your research, all things costing and finance, sales and pitching.
Innovation Catalyst collaborating with 99 Bikes to develop essential skills around innovation and how to be intrapreneurial – with new products, services and ways of working while working inside an organisation! Develop essential career skills (applicable regardless of industry or sector) including problem identification, idea generation, solution validation, generating internal support and scaling an innovation through an organisation!
Growth Lab is a pre-accelerator program, providing the knowledge and connections to take your idea to the next level. It is a cohort based, mentor-rich experience, each team has access to two dedicated mentors for the duration of the program. All sessions are face-to-face and include our much loved 'family dinners’. It will feature 8 teams, 6 of these teams made up of QUT students, staff, or alumni. It will feature two 'Wildcard’ non-QUT teams. Eligibility requirements: attended one or more QUT Entrepreneurship (or similar) programs, have a validated idea (including primary & secondary market research), have a minimum viable product (MVP) in or planned to be in market in the next 3 months.
