R.I.S.E Resilience Identity Strength Empowerment Walk. Recognising Community Wellbeing and Connection

Karakan, in partnership with Multicultural Australia and Rekon Youth Services, invites you to join us for the R.I.S.E (Resilience, Identity, Strength, Empowerment) Walk a vibrant community event held in recognition of Queensland Mental Health Week (04–12 October).
This special day will bring together families, young people, community, and service providers in a safe, inclusive, and uplifting space that celebrates connection, wellbeing, and community through movement. The event is designed to strengthen connections, raise awareness of mental health, and empower our community to walk together towards resilience and hope.

📅 Date: Saturday, 27th September 2025
📍 Location: Eucalypt Avenue, behind Robelle Domain Water Park, Springfield Lakes
⏰ Time: 8:00am – 12:00pm
Alongside the community walk, there will be information stalls of local services that support local families and community. We’re also be providing Activity Circuit Zones, including:
Zumba Station – high-energy dance fitness
Warm-up & Stretch Zone – light mobility and prep exercises
Mini Circuit Challenge – fun timed fitness activities
Mindful Breathing Space – guided breathwork for calm and focus
For those who may not wish to join the walk, the Activity Zones offer an engaging way to participate and connect. Karakan will also provide free catering, coffee, and water stations, alongside additional interactive activities.
