The Hon Jarrod Bleijie MP: Deputy Premier, Minister for State Development, Infrastructure and Planning, Minister for Industrial Relations
Following the 2024 state election, Jarrod was appointed as Deputy Premier of Queensland, Minister for State Development, Infrastructure and Planning, and Minister for Industrial Relations in the Crisafulli LNP Government.
In his portfolio, Jarrod has been tasked with exploring opportunities for new industries and economic growth across Queensland, delivering infrastructure that benefits communities across the State. He has spearheaded the appointment of the Games Independent Infrastructure Coordination Authority to conduct a 100-day infrastructure review in preparation for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Jarrod is also leading the State Government’s activation of housing supply, chairing the Cabinet Housing Ministerial Taskforce Cabinet Committee, charged with unlocking church and charity-owned land to alleviate the housing crisis and deliver the Government’s commitment to build 1 million new homes by 2044.
As the Deputy Premier and a Minister in the Crisafulli LNP Government, Jarrod is part of a united team taking strong action on youth crime, cost of living, health and housing for all Queenslanders.
