New announcement!
We're pleased to share we have just received the news that The Hon Jenny Aitchison MP - Minister for Roads, Minister for Regional Transport will be joining us to open the event with a Minister’s address.
The Hon Jenny Aitchison MP - Minister for Roads, Minister for Regional Transport
The Hon. Jenny Aitchison was elected to Parliament to represent the Maitland Community in 2015 and was a Shadow Minister for a variety of diverse portfolios including Primary Industries, Investment & Tourism, Medical Research, Prevention of Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault, Small Business and Women from 2016 to 2023.
After the 2023 NSW elections, Jenny was appointed Minister for Regional Transport and Roads in the Minns Labor Government. In March 2025, following a Ministerial reshuffle, Jenny was promoted to NSW Minister for Roads and Minister for Regional Transport, expanding her portfolio responsibilities to include all roads in NSW. In Opposition, Jenny had served as Shadow Minister for Regional Transport and Roads since 2021.
Jenny has lived in and around regional NSW for most of her life, growing up in Canberra, moving to Walcha on the New England Tablelands, and then moving to Maitland in 2000. Jenny believes that transport and roads in regional areas are a social determinant of education, health, jobs and opportunity, and are vital for resilience and social inclusion.
Following the Minister’s address, Camilla will update Roads Australia Members on the NSW Government's investment and reform priorities across transport, with a focus of improving sector productivity, enhancing workforce capability and supporting decarbonisation.
