who will deliver a presentation and lead a panel discussion with transport sector experts to discuss how industry can support the state government in delivering this vital program of works.
This not-to-be-missed event will provide an in-depth look at best practice approaches to engage with the market and develop packaging and procurement models to efficiently deliver the $9 billion Bruce Highway Upgrade Safety Program within an ambitious timeline.

Sally Stannard - Director-General, Department of Transport and Main Roads
As Director-General, Sally Stannard leads the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR). Sally was Acting Director-General from 5 June 2023 and formally appointed in December 2023, taking on the leadership of TMR's portfolio of work across road, rail, bus, cycling and marine infrastructure in Queensland.

Jen Charlesworth - Group Director, Transport QNT - AECOM
Jen Charlesworth is the Transport Group Director at AECOM in QNT, where she leads a talented team of over 210 Transport Infrastructure professionals. As a Chartered Civil Engineer with a degree from Loughborough University, she has built a remarkable career shaping road and rail projects across the UK, New Zealand, and Australia.
Since moving to Australia in 2008, she has led the Go Between Bridge project, witnessing firsthand the transformation of designs into impactful realities. Her work on various significant projects includes the design and construction of the changes required to the streets of Hamilton in New Zealand to facilitate the V8 street race (Hamilton 500), the design of Stage 2 of the Gold Coast Light Rail that has connected communities, and upgrade projects on the Pacific Motorway that have improved travel times and safety for motorists.
Beyond her professional role, Jen passionately mentors early career professionals and champions the advancement of women in engineering, proving that leadership and dedication can create meaningful change in the industry.
Sean Donald - General Manager QLD - Georgiou | Board - CCF
With over 28 years of experience in civil construction - 10 of those in senior leadership, Sean Donald has built a strong reputation for his expertise in project delivery. Since joining Georgiou Group in 2017 as Construction Manager, he has progressed through key leadership roles, including Operations Manager and now General Manager for Queensland.
In addition to his role at Georgiou, Sean is an active contributor to the industry serving on the boards of the Civil Contractors Federations (CCF) and the Queensland Major Contractors Association (QMCA) where he advocates for industry advancement. Sean’s extensive on-site experience enables him to drive innovative solutions to constructability challenges while mitigating key risks. A strong advocate for collaborative contracting, Sean values maintaining long-term client relationships and has successfully delivered projects under Design & Construct, CPA, and Alliance Contract models.
